About

My name is Victoria Martel-Stevens

Welcome! My mission is to help individuals lead a meaningful life by providing valuable insights and strategies focused on improving cognitive health, overcoming mental health challenges, burnout recovery, improving sleep, and successfully ageing at home.

With over a decade of experience in occupational therapy, I have helped individuals of all ages enhance their daily routines, improve sleep quality, and build a stronger sense of overall well-being. My clinical background spans hospitals, home care, rehabilitation centres, private practice, and as an OT consultant with Veterans Affairs Canada — giving me a broad perspective on what people need at every stage of recovery and life. I have worked with children as young as 2 and older adults as "experienced" as 105, across a wide range of mental health and physical health challenges. At the Université de Montréal, I mentored and supervised occupational therapy students, contributing to the next generation of the profession.

I specialize in cognitive health, mental health, sleep, and successful aging — taking a whole-person approach that considers not just symptoms, but the full picture: your environment, your routines, your relationships, and the daily activities that give your life meaning. My goal is to help you move past the obstacles that are holding you back and build habits and routines that actually last.

Today, through StevensOT, I work with adults across Alberta via secure video, with in-person visits available in Calgary. My practice focuses on three areas where I see the greatest unmet need: sleep difficulties, using evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I); burnout recovery and return-to-work support, drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); and cognitive health at home, helping older adults and their families manage the daily impact of memory changes, mild cognitive impairment, and early dementia through strategy training, environmental modification, and caregiver coaching.

I am certified in CBT-I and am pursuing advanced training in the Multicontext Approach and Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP). I am registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).

My passion and drive to help others be their best and lead a fulfilling life also translates into my life as a mother, wife, and outdoor enthusiast. I am a multi-tasking mom, fun-loving adventurer, and passionate difference-maker — and I bring that same energy to every client I work with.
