Mental Health & Burnout Recovery

A structured path back from depletion — using ACT and occupational therapy's focus on daily function to rebuild routines that actually hold up.

Burnout isn't solved by a vacation

It's a pattern of depletion that affects how you think, sleep, and function — and a week off doesn't undo months or years of that pattern. You come back, and within days the same exhaustion, cynicism, and fog creep back in, because nothing about the underlying pattern actually changed.

Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and occupational therapy's unique focus on daily function, I help you rebuild sustainable routines, reconnect with what matters, and return to work and life on terms that hold up — not just a plan for surviving the next crash.

Who this is for

Running on empty

You're exhausted in a way that sleep doesn't fix, going through the motions, and dreading tasks that used to feel manageable.

Stuck in cynicism or detachment

Work that used to matter to you now feels pointless. You're going through the motions and it's spilling into the rest of your life.

On leave or returning to work

You're on medical leave for burnout or mental health, or preparing to return, and need a real plan — not just a doctor's note.

Caught in an unsustainable pattern

You know the way you're working and living isn't sustainable, but every attempt to change it collapses within weeks.

What we work on together

Values clarification

Getting clear on what actually matters to you — separate from what you feel obligated to chase — so recovery has real direction instead of just fewer symptoms.

Psychological flexibility (ACT)

Building skills to hold difficult thoughts and feelings — guilt about slowing down, fear of falling behind — without letting them dictate your choices.

Sustainable daily routines

Rebuilding your day from the ground up: energy pacing, boundaries around work hours, recovery time that's actually protected rather than the first thing sacrificed.

Return-to-work planning

A graded, function-based plan for returning to work — pacing, workload, accommodations, and communication with your employer — built around what you can sustain, not just what's expected.

Sleep and energy

Burnout and disrupted sleep feed each other. As a CBT-I certified therapist, I address sleep directly when it's part of the picture, rather than treating it as separate.

How it works

1

Free consultation call

A 15-minute conversation to understand where you're at and confirm this is the right fit. No obligation.

2

Comprehensive assessment

A detailed session over secure video exploring your daily routines, work situation, values, and what's driving the depletion — building a clear picture before we build a plan.

3

Personalized recovery plan

A plan built around your values and your actual function — routines, pacing, boundaries, and (if relevant) a structured return-to-work path.

4

Ongoing sessions

Weekly sessions to build psychological flexibility skills, implement routine changes, troubleshoot setbacks, and adjust the plan as your capacity shifts. Most clients work through a structured arc over 8–12 sessions.

5

Maintenance and follow-up

Periodic check-ins after the initial block to make sure the new pattern is holding once you're back in the full swing of work and life.

Start with a conversation

If you're running on empty or trying to figure out a way back to work that doesn't just set you up for another crash, a 15-minute call is a good place to start.
